About Us

Thirty Years at the Bench, One New Name Over the Door

We set up R & D Precision Fabrication in 2025, but there is nothing new about the hands doing the work. Between us we bring over 30 years of welding and fabricating, most of it building kit for pharmaceutical plants, food production lines and agricultural engineering, where a part either fits and lasts or it comes back.

We deliver on time and within budget, and we keep you in the loop from the first drawing to the finished part.

Common Questions

FAQ

If you have drawings, send them over and we will price from those. If you only have a sketch, measurements or a photo of an old part, that is fine too. We offer CAD design, so we can draw the part up properly and agree it with you before any metal gets cut.

Mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, titanium and brass. Tell us what the part has to do and where it will live, and we will talk you through which material suits it.

It depends on the job. MIG is quick and strong, which makes it a good fit for thicker mild steel and structural work. TIG is slower but gives a neater, more controlled weld, which is why it gets used on thin stainless, aluminium and anything where the weld is on show. We do both, so we pick whichever is right for the part.

A lot of our work goes into pharmaceutical and food production equipment, along with agricultural engineering. If it can be made from sheet, plate or tube, ring us and ask.

Stainless resists corrosion, does not flake or rust into the product, and stands up to repeated washdowns and cleaning chemicals. With a good weld and the right finish it leaves nowhere for dirt to sit, which is exactly what food and pharmaceutical lines need.

Mirror polish and satin finish on stainless, powder coating in a range of colours, and anodising for aluminium. Tell us how the part will be used and we will suggest the finish that lasts.

Our workshop is in Upper Sapey, right on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border. We work for customers right across both counties.

Ring us on 01886 508134 or fill in the quote form at the top of this page with a short description of the job. The more detail you can give us, measurements, material, quantity and finish, the faster we can come back with a price.
